What is International Days?

Before going to know about "International day of Yoga" we have to know about what is International day? International day is a day that is celebrated by whole world. It is celebrate to aware the people of world about all Global problems,Political issues and about achievements of Humanity.Organizations and office, governments, civil society, the public and private sectors, schools, universities and citizens, make an international day for awareness about current issues and problems.

Who decides them and how?

The member states of United nations general Assembly propose the International days. Then the General assembly decides whether to adopt or not the resolution to established that particular day through the consensus.Thus we can say an International day can be established by UN general assembly.

Establishment of International Day of Yoga

International day of Yoga which is also known as Yoga Day, is celebrated on 21st June, Every Year.The idea of International Day of Yoga was first proposed by the current Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), on 27 September 2014
The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in his UN speech suggested the date of 21 June  to celebrate as a International Day of Yoga,because it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Following this particular proposal the United Nations General Assembly entitled "International Day of Yoga", on 14 October 2014.In 2015 Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issued a 10 rupees coin to mark the International Day of Yoga.

Origin of Yoga

Yoga is a valuable gift of India's ancient tradition and Culture. It includes unity of mind and body; thought and action; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being and restraint and fulfillment. Yoga is not only an Exercise. It is a sense of Unity and Love with the world and the Nature.It change our life and create consciousness and make us well being.

Celebration of International Yoga Day

On 21 June 2015, the first intenational day of Yoga was  celebrated across the world. More Than 35,000 people, including Narendra Modi performed 21 asanas for 35 minutes at Rajpath in New Delhi.
                           The day was observed by millions of people across the world. NCC makes the Limca Book of Records by celebrating international day of yoga at multiple venues.The event at Rajpath established two Guinness world records awarded to the Ministry of AYUSH, and received by the minister Shripad Yesso Naik.

Why International day of Yoga celebrated

The word "Yoga" means the Unite or feeling one with other. To aware people about the importance of Yoga in our Life "The International Day Of Yoga" is celebrated on 21st June, every year. Yoga includes physical,mental and spiritual practice that provide us peace, Confidence, Strength and Courage people to perform their daily activities in better way. Thus 'The International Day of Yoga" celebrate on 21st June every year in the whole world in various Forms.

a) Bring a Tree Pose to Nature

Practicing outside can breathe some fresh air into your yoga poses. Practice on the beach, at your local park, or even in your backyard. Surrounding yourself in a new environment can be much more engaging by having new things to focus on.

Create your own flow of movements and discover new combinations to your favorite music. Sometimes a change in movement or music can help you focus your energy and sync your breathing perfectly to musical transitions.

c) Introduce a yogi lifestyle

Bringing a friend can be just the right motivation you need to revise your practice. Not only will their presence inspire you to strengthen your poses, but also they can score big on free yoga deals for new students.
These are the activities of the international day of Yoga.From the above we can say that if we practice Yoga regularly it can make our life better,happier and peace. So we have to make Yoga as a part of our life.

Yoga is not only an exercise.It is a tradition or culture for Indian.Some people doing 'Yoga" for entertainment and Some people doing as an exercise. However the main purpose of all is to maintain a good Health whether people call it "entertainment" or "Exercise". Yoga means reality where one can knows the ultimate goal of the existence and the way it is made.
Yoga does not refers as an idea, a philosophy or as a concept .If it becomes an experiential reality, it will not bring forth any immature action. Individuality is an idea. Universality is not an idea, it is a reality. 
Yoga which is originated in ancient India is a group of physical, mental and spiritual disciplines. Yoga is Hindu philosophical traditions there is six orthodox schools. The term "Yoga" is a modern term of " Hatha Yoga". Yoga consist a large number of Asanas. The origin of Yoga came from  Pre-Vedic Indian Traditions,Rig-Veda mentioned about the Yoga. Later Yoga Guru from India introduced Yoga to the west. In the 19th and 20th century Swami Vivekananda adapted "Yoga-Asanas" outside India. Yoga is not only Exercise in India , it is an Traditions more than Exercise.
